Andy Bowers

Andy Bowers has decades of experience representing corporations, nonprofits, and professional associations before state legislatures, governor’s offices, state agencies, and statewide officials. A former Deputy Chief of Staff to Ohio Auditor Betty Montgomery and Director of Special Counsel for the Ohio Attorney General, Andy has managed multi-million-dollar legal contracts, landmark cases, and public policy initiatives.

As a lobbyist, Andy has driven significant achievements, including securing a record $70 million in annual public transit funding, passing comprehensive banking reform legislation, and authoring the first U.S. crisis care facility law, now a model for other states. Andy specializes in working with state attorneys general. His clients span diverse industries such as technology, healthcare, energy, education, transportation, cannabis, and gambling.

Andy was appointed by Governor Kasich and reappointed by Governor Dewine to serve on the Ohio Board of Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists. A Wittenberg University and Ohio State University College of Law graduate, Andy serves on the Wittenberg Alumni Board of Directors, and participates in pro bono legal programs.

Andy lives in Blacklick with his wife and two sons.

Will Hinman

Will Hinman has earned the trust of public officials and clients with his extensive political network and his experience navigating government complexities. He previously served as Director of the Speaker’s Office, a legislative liaison at the Ohio Department of Transportation, and a Legislative Aide to the Chairman of the Public Utilities Committee in the Ohio House.

As Co-Founder and Partner of the firm and Executive Director of a statewide trade association, Will engages with media, public officials, and stakeholders, formulates grassroots strategies, builds coalitions, and lobbies to advance client interests.

In various roles, Will has secured billions in public funding, contributed to hundreds of bills, and played a key role in overhauling Ohio’s K-12 funding system. He has championed record infrastructure and transit funding, extended solar tax incentives, codified crucial workplace protections for healthcare workers, and helped save a community college from imminent closure with an unprecedented $4 million state advance. Will's pro bono work on behalf of the Two Foundation recently resulted in $2 million in state funding for a new facility.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Will’s early roles included work with NFIB, a U.S. Congressman, and the Ohio House. Will is the Executive Director of the Utility Scale Solar Energy Coalition, he co-chairs the Downtown Columbus Young Professionals Organization. He lives in Italian Village, Columbus, Ohio where he is active in the Catholic Church.

Emily Krombach

Emily Krombach has a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University in Psychology and minor in Accounting. She has strong leadership skills and a proven track record in operations management and related accounting.

Emily serves as our bookkeeper and specializes in customer service, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, commissions, and human resources. She also helps with vendor management, inside sales management, staff management, pricing and terms negotiations.

Emily loves to bake bread, cook, sew, and spend time with her 8 grandchildren.

Administrative Assistant

Leanna Carpenter

Leanna Carpenter is an Ohio native with a strong foundation in history and political science, earned through a double major at Otterbein College. With over seven years of experience as a legal assistant at a foreclosure law firm, she brings a wealth of knowledge and keen attention to detail to the practice.

After taking a decade off to raise two wonderful boys, Leanna has returned to the workforce as a dedicated administrative professional, focused on delivering exceptional organizational support and ensuring seamless operations within the firm.

In her free time, Leanna enjoys running, which helps her stay focused and energized, fostering a balanced and well-rounded perspective in both personal and professional endeavors.

Legislative and Community Affairs Assistant

Tyler Monk

Tyler Monk is a senior at The Ohio State University, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) with a minor in Religious Studies and a certificate in Civil Discourse.

Tyler is a Civil Discourse Fellow, has been actively involved in the Undergraduate Student Government. Tyler's professional background includes serving as a legislative page at the Ohio House of Representatives and later as a constituent aide in Representative Jean Schmidt’s office, where he managed communications and supported legislative initiatives. He has also contributed to successful political campaigns through strategic outreach and grassroots organizing.

In his role at Bowers Hinman, Tyler tracks legislation, drafts briefs, compiles research, and produces advocacy materials. He also attends hearings at the Ohio Statehouse and contributes to our local government practice.

A native of Gahanna, Ohio, Tyler is an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) certified baseball umpire and the proud owner of a cat named Hippo.
